Comedians are what make my world go round. The jokes, the atmosphere, the great one-liners… it’s all so beautiful. Unfortunately, there are people out there who are not open minded enough to realise that the jokes are not aimed to be racist or prejudiced. It is usually the ethnic minority that make the rude jokes. And they do it about every culture and race in order to show that they are not targeting anyone in particular. Comedians are known to test the boundaries. But we must realise that that’s what makes it funny. They don’t know how the general public will react to their jokes, yet they risk their reputation and speak their mind. Personally, I have great respect for these people.
Jokes only have to be racist or horrible to a sect of people if you believe in yourself that the person making the joke was doing it to be hurtful and mean. If not, I think its perfectly fine to laugh. Although the jokes are really controversial, I wouldn’t go as far as to makes jokes too. I obviously have no idea what offends and what does not. So I think we should leave the joking to the professionals.
